About Us
Purpose: Support single mothers and widows with young children by providing
SMART financial aid and sharing the Gospel through evangelism and discipleship.
Our Story
In Summer 2023, Michael Debrah returned to Ghana after 12 years and was struck by the stark divide between wealth and poverty. Motivated to act, he founded a Christian charity—currently self-funded and supported by a few donors—to help single mothers and widows with young children escape poverty, starting in Ghana and aiming to grow globally. The Foundation partners with Jesus Rescue Team and Charis Global (UK).
The Mission
The Foundation provides monthly financial assistance to one family at a time for a
duration of six months. Each family receives £100, converted to Ghanaian cedi
(GHS), with £85 going directly to the widow or single mother and the remainder
allocated for the Debrah Foundation team's transportation and visitation expenses in
Ghana.
