About Us
Purpose: To support single mothers and widows with children out of poverty through SMART financial interventions and the sharing of the Gospel through evangelism and discipleship.
Our Story
When you give to the poor, it is like lending to the LORD, and the LORD will
pay you back. –( Proverbs 19:17 GNT)
It had been 12 years since Michael last visited. Although, the country had significantly improved in development and infrastructure, he was deeply moved by the immoral disproportionate gap between the rich and the poor. This situation played a lot on his mind when he returned home to the UK. Through prayer and reflection, Michael felt a divine calling to act and make a difference.
The Mission
The Foundation aims to support one family at a time, providing monthly financial assistance for 6 months. Each family receives £100, equivalent to GHS, with £85 allocated directly to the widow or single mother, and the remaining portion covering
the Debrah Foundation team's transportation and visitation costs in Ghana.
Given that the average living wage in Ghana is around 900GHS per month, the £100
contribution significantly adds to the household income, offering vital support.
